Ruth Roman died Thursday, aged 75, at Her Laguna Beach home. Ruth Roman was an iconic Hollywood screen-star who was a star in Hollywood during the 1950s, with her mixture of pure sexuality and purity. Richard Hall, her son confirmed that she had died in her sleep. Warner Brothers offered her nine leading roles in just two years of her breakout role in Stanley Kramer's 'Champion which was a 1950 adaptation by Ring Lardner of a demented prizefighter short story. Within a single day she went from playing Bette Davis in ''Beyond the Forest'' to playing Milton Berle in ''Always Leave Them Laughing.'' A week after the completion of ''Strangers in a Train", starring Robert Walker, she was invited to appear in ''Tomorrow's Another Day'' with Steve Cochran.
