McKayla Rose Maroney was an American gymnast who retired in 2012. Also, she is a performer. She was a participant in 2012's Summer Olympics as a member in the American Women's Gymnastics team, known by the name of Fierce Five. At the Olympics she earned a silver medal for herself and also a team gold. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney was born in Aliso Viejo, California, on the 9th of December 1995. She is her parents being Erin Maroney and Mike Maroney (died 2019). McKayla's Irish Catholic background is her ancestral lineage. Tarynn Kav was her sibling. She homeschooled herself to become a gymnast. Maroney told us that "when I was a kid, I would watch Tarzan and then run around on my all-fours. My mother would tell me, "I should put this kid into gymnastics." Lauren Drain is a former church member from the Westboro Baptist Church who wrote the 2013 book Banished in which she recounts her life and experiences, leading to her eventual exile out of church. Lauren has been with the fitness model David Kagan (since August 2013) since their wedding. Aria Skye Kagan (born December 29th in 2019,) is their child. Lauren lived briefly in Topeka as a single person, but she was plagued with the recollections of her expulsion from church and family.
